Century Waste

Public Sector Contracts

Century Waste was previously awarded contracts worth a combined $495,000 from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and was paid $169,000 for snow removal by the NYC Department of Sanitation between 2014 and 2017.   After Century Waste’s deadly maintenance failure, the Port Authority’s inspector general announced an investigation of the company’s safety record, but has not published the results of this investigation.

Currently, the Port Authority’s website also shows that two contracts worth $1,200,540 were awarded to Century Waste in March of 2019.  The Port Authority did not return our requests for comment on the results of their investigation into Century Waste’s safety practices.
